The department of Cardiology was started in the year 1998. In August 2004, the faculty comprising of Dr. Neil Bordoloi MD DM for AIIMS, and Dr Animesh Mishra MD DM from GB Pant Delhi joined the department. Since then the  department is functioning in the Interim Hospital Facility in Polo, Lawmali. The main institute in Mawdiangdiang is nearing completion.  

SERVICES PROVIDED IN THE INTERIM HOSPITAL FACILITY  

Diagnostic Services  

• Computerized 12 lead ECG’s

• 2D and Colour Doppler Echocardiography

• Trans-esophageal Echocardiography

• Stress Echocardiography

Indoor and outdoor Services  

• 7 bedded ICU with Cardiac Monitoring and Central Monitoring.

• 13 bedded Cardiology ward.

• Cardiology OPD runs from 10am to 3pm on all week days.

The department of cardiology in the main hospital will provide state of art noninvasive and invasive cardiology services. The latest and most sophisticated equipment are being procured to realize this end.
