Infrastructure available        

In the interim facility hospital presently 12 beds are available for gastroenterology in-patient care. Endoscopy laboratory is equipped with video upper and lower endoscopes. At present departments of Radiology and Pathology are functioning as supporting departments for patient’s work-up.  

Services provided at interim facility hospital

Out door for patient’s care is provided from Monday to Friday. New patients of gastroenterology are  evaluated on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays follow up patients are seen. Routine diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services are provided on every Tuesdays and Thursdays and emergency procedures are done as and when required on all the days of the week.  

Future department at the main hospital at Maodiang-diang

The department of Gastroenterology in the main hospital will be a state of the art department. It will have facilities for evaluation of all the locally prevalent gastrointestinal problems and facilities for treatment. The Endoscopy laboratory will be equipped with recent verities of video endoscopes and necessary accessories for performing any kind of therapeutic procedures.  There will be facility for doing research and teaching once the main hospital starts functioning.
