The charter seeks to provide a framework that enables our patients to know:

(i)                 What services are available in the Interim Hospital Facility

(ii)                 The quality of services they can avail of.

(iii)               The means through which complaints regarding denial or poor    quality of  Services will be redressed

GENERAL INFORMATION

LOCATION
NEIGRIHMS Interim Hospital
Facility is located at Law Mali , adjacent to Ganesh Das Hospital and the   Pasteur Institute.

STANDARDS OF SERVICE  

At present NEIGRIHMS is having only an Interim Hospital Facility.

The Interim Hospital is functioning as Out Patient Clinics of the following departments.

(1)   Cardiology

(2)   Gastroenterology

(3)   Radiology & Imaging

(4)   Pathology

(5)   Paediatrics

INPATIENT SERVICES

Gastroenterology –  12 beds

Cardiology          -   12 beds

ICCU                  -    6 beds

Doctor's wear white aprons and Nurses are in uniform

All Staff members have identity cards.

Casualty numbers – Casualty & Emergency Service has not yet started in the Interim Hospital however referred cases are admitted provided beds are available.

    OUT PATIENT DEPARTMENT (OPD) SERVICES              

 Location:-  OPD services are available in the Interim Hospital Facility.

 

    Registration Time

       Consultation Time

General OPD

    9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon

  9.30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

  Patient should get yourself registered at the counter of respective OPDs.
  You have right to consult any doctor/ consultant of the concerned department. For seeking appointment with any consultant on his OPD days, you may contact his/her office.
  Patients are seen on first come first serve basis. However, out of turn consultation may be provided in case of emergency or to senior citizens.
  Investigations: After OPD consultation, the treating doctor will fill up the requisition forms for various investigations & direct/guide you to the concerned lab /dept. Only limited facility (tests) is available.
       Sample collection centre for Blood, Urine, Stool etc. – Pathology Department,
Interim Hospital Facility, Polo Hills, Shillong. 

        Sample Collection Timings are:- 
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
       Certain specialized investigations are done on particular days only.
       The report normally reaches the concerned OPD on the next OPD day.
       At present investigations are done free of charge, but in future charges to recover the cost will be introduced.
       Due to excess work load, waiting period exists for certain investigations like CT, Endoscopy / Echocardiography / ultrasound etc. Patients are given future dates by the concerned departments. However, these may be done out of turn in urgent situations, on recommendation of the treating doctor.
 The decision to admit a patient rests with the treating doctor. The patient will be admitted only if a vacant bed is available. But, in case of emergency, out of turn admission may be done.
  Wheel chairs, patient trolleys etc. are available free of charge at the    entrance of OPD.
  OPDs have waiting hall with chairs, public utilities like drinking    water & toilets etc.
  You should park your vehicle in the appropriate place.

  To meet day-to-day needs of patients, there is a coffee vending machine in front of OPD.

   There will be occasions when our services will not be up to your expectations.
   Please do not hesitate to register your complaints. It will only help as serve you better.
   You may lodge your complaints to the Hospital Co-Ordinator. Every complaint will be duly acknowledged and sincere attempt will be made to solve your problem.

We aim to settle your genuine complaint within 10 working days of its receipt.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF USERS

   The success of this charter depends on the support we receive from our users.
   Please try to appreciate the various constraints under which the hospital is functioning. Ours is only an Interim Hospital Facility. On an average 100 patients attend the OPD daily. We undertake to provide more comprehensive services once the main hospital is inaugurated.

   Please follow the rules and regulations of the hospital while inside the hospital campus.
   Please do not cause inconvenience to other patients by crowding or making noise unnecessarily.
   Please help us in keeping the hospital and its surroundings neat and clean.
   Please don't argue with security guards, show your passes when asked for & help maintain the order and peace inside the hospital premises.
   Please use the facilities of this hospital with care and do not damage/ spoil hospital property.
   Beware of Touts & unauthorized persons. Don't indulge in any money transactions with them.
   The Hospital is strictly a No Smoking Zone.

   Please refrain from demanding under favours from the staff and officials.
   Please provide useful feedback and constructive suggestions. These may be addressed to the Hospital Co-ordinator.
