	Introduction
	The Department of Neurology started in 2008. The specialty clinic have been introduced gradually since 2008 to provide more focused and multidisciplinary patient care services in the field of Epilepsy, Headache, Movement disorder, Dementia, Neuro behavior disorder, neuromuscular disorder and Mental Retardation. This Department is situated at 3rd floor with 3 consultations chamber and 1 EEG, NCV Lab
	Infrastructure
	Electrophysiology lab: The lab is equipped with digital EMG/EP system digital video EEG. Test being conducted are EEGs, EMG, NCV, EP daily. Beside EEG are conducted in ICU

	Patient Services
	OPD services 6 days a week, from Mon to Saturday.
	Specialty Clinics
	Epilepsy clinics (once a week), every Tuesday, 2pm to 4pm Movement disorder clinic (once a week), every Wednesday, 2pm to 4 pm Neuro behavior clinic (once a week) every Friday, 2pm to 4 pm Neuromuscular clinic (once a week), last Saturday of every month 9am to 11am Headache clinic (once a week) every Thursday, 2pm to 4pm Botox Injection à given as OPD procedure for various disorder like Hemi facial spasm, Blepharospasm, Writer’s cramp

	32 bedded Neurology ward
	Electrophysiology lab Services Test being conducted are EEGs, EMG, NCV, EP daily. EEG are conducted in ICU also.
	Community outreach services
	Conducted in collaboration with psychiatry department. Awareness program at NEIGRIHMS in the community for Neurological disorders like Epilepsy, dementia, stroke etc. The department works closely with Pathology/ Microbiology/Radiology/Neurosurgery/Physiotherapy in addressing various diagnosis and therapeutic issues.

	Neuroradiology seminar once a week Conducting theory classes for MBBS students Conducting theory classes for Bsc Nursing students Case presentation/Seminar for Senior Residents/Junior Residents Conducting classes for DNB students during their clinical posting in Neurology (2months)
