Patient Care Services |
|
|
Outpatient services
- OPDs on all days from 9 AM to 3 PM except Holidays & Sundays.
- Special clinic every Thursdays for High Risk Pregnancy, Gynaecological Oncology and Infertility.
- Patients are also attending our Postnatal Clinic, where Cafeteria approach of Contraception is provided.

- Colposcopy
- Cervical biopsy
- TAS
- TVS
- NST
Inpatient services
- The main O & G ward is equipped with 30 beds in the 3rd floor, first 2 blocks are occupied by antenatal patients. The next 2 blocks are for postnatal patients.
- There is also a High Dependency Unit (HDU) for critical patients and immediate post- operative patients with State of Art monitors and pulse oximeters.
- Another Gynae extension ward with 18 beds and isolation ward with 2 beds is also available.
- Gynaecological admissions and early pregnancy patients are accommodated in the extension ward.
Emergency services (Labour Ward)
Our Labour ward, in the top floor is easily accessible with a number of lifts operating. Emergency service in the labour ward is 24 x 7. It has an observation room for early labour patients.
The main labour room has two labour tables, which are highly sophisticated. Monitors for patients and Cardio Tocography machines for fetal well being assessment are available.
There is a septic Labour room also for all the infected cases. There is another USG room adjacent to labour room, where on regular basis USG is done for emergency patients.
We have a Neonatal ICU in the labour room complex for prompt neonatal care.
Operative services
Our operating theatre is located in 3rd floor where all elective open and laparoscopy cases are done on Tuesdays & Fridays. We are doing major surgeries like Lower Segment Caesarean Section, abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, cystectomy, oncosurgery, tuboplasty. All types of laparoscopy including diagnostic hystero-laparoscopy, total laparoscopic hysterectomy, lap. Cystectomy are done here. Emergency operations like LSCS, laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy are also done. We are also performing surgeries regarding Family Planning like tubectomies.
Minor operative procedures like dilatation and evacuation (D&E), dilatation and curettage (D&C), endometrial biopsy are also done.

We are having both undergraduate and 3 years post-graduate teaching programme. For undergraduates, we have theory classes and clinical classes. Periodically we are conducting tests and seminars for them. For post-graduates we conduct seminars and journal clubs. At the end of every month, we have review meeting of the department patient statistics. Apart from regular teaching activities, post-graduates and residents are also actively involved in research activities. |
