Introduction |

The Department of Pediatrics has been providing advanced and specialized health care to children & adolescents since its inception in 2005. Located in Shillong, it is very well connected to Guwahati, the capital city of Assam by National Highway 40 and can be reached easily via this route. It is currently offering the full range of Pediatric services and is acting as a referral unit for the state of Meghalaya as well as the entire North East India. The department is actively involved in the care of sick children as well as proper upbringing of well children. Other aspects of the department are academics and research on topics related to children. |

OPD Services:
Activities: immunization of children, monitoring of Growth and development, advice regarding breast-feeding and complimentary feeding, attend to minor ailments and parental concerns. Vaccines as per the national immunization schedule as well as optional vaccines are offered.
Activities: Children at high risk of developmental problems like NICU graduates, premature newborn etc are followed up in the clinic with the aim of early stimulation, early diagnosis and early intervention.
Activities: Children with nephrotic syndrome and other kidney diseases are followed up in this clinic.
