The Central Library NEIGRIHMS started functioning as a fully fledged library serving the information needs of Students, Doctors and Paramedical Staff in the Interim Hospital Facility, Polo. The Central Library then shifted to the premises of the College of Nursing, Mawdiangdiang in July, 2006. It houses a collection of books, journals and non-book materials. The Central Library started with a collection of 2000 Books and subscribes to 35 Journals, Magazines and Newspapers.

On the 15th October, 2007 the Central Library shifted to its main building adjacent to the Administrative Block. However, the College of Nursing Library is still functioning as a departmental Library in the premises of the College itself. The Central Library mainly caters to the needs of Faculty, Residents (SRD & JRD), Students (PG, Dm, MD, MBBS & BSc Nursing) and Paramedical Staffs.

The Central Library is a three Storied Building with a seating capacity of 250+ Readers with separate reading area for the Faculty.

• Top Floor is Periodical Section and Bound Journals (back volume Journals) & News Papers and Magazines reading area.
• First Floor is the Reference Section where Reference Books & Faculty Reading cum Conference Room.
• Ground Floor is the Book Stack Area & Tele-Medicine RRC ELearning & Digital Library.

At present, the library houses a diverse collection of 25000+ Medical Books and subscribes to around 120+ Medical and Health Print Journals, National and International, e-Resources (Books and Journals), Central Library subscribe to multiple number of Online Medical Databases and also to National and Local Magazines and Newspapers.
Central Library is also a member of Electronic Resources in Medical Sciences (ERMED) consortium developed by National Medical Library (NML), New Delhi.
Central Library also has an Internet browsing Area with a capacity for 20 students and 24x7 Personal Reading Areas adjacent to the Central Library
